Good fire through community and shared learning

The Mid-Willamette Prescribed Burn Association brings together landowners, volunteers, practitioners, and partners who believe fire can be a positive force on the landscape. By building relationships and creating opportunities to work together, we are growing a community that supports the thoughtful use of prescribed fire and helps make it more accessible across the Mid-Willamette Valley.

Building Community around good fire

Shared learning for safe burning

We believe prescribed fire is most effective when knowledge, experience, and skills are shared. Through training, demonstrations, and hands-on collaboration, the Mid-Willamette PBA helps people build the confidence and capacity to use fire safely and responsibly. Our goal is to create a culture of learning where people can ask questions, gain experience, and support one another in putting good fire on the ground.

Stewarding the land with fire

Prescribed fire is a powerful tool for caring for the land. The Mid-Willamette PBA works to support the use of fire to restore ecological processes, improve habitat, and rejuvenate the oak, prairie, and working landscapes of the Mid-Willamette Valley. By reconnecting people with fire as a tool for stewardship, we are helping create healthier, more resilient landscapes for the future.
